RIP to the legend Grandmaster Chuck Norris, he had such a profound influence on so many in martial artist and beyond. From the 70s and 80s he was such a staple and influence in my martial arts journey. He was never satisfied with just one style. He was always expanding and learning more earning black belts in multiple styles such as Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Chun Kuk Do (his style) and more. BJJ was introduced to the USA because of Chuck Norris and the Machado BJJ lineage would not exist in the USA if it wasn't for him. From his influence in TV & movies, the Chuck Norris jokes, his macho bravado, his kind and humble demeanor, outreach to help others and his faith, he reached so many as a person and became an American or I could say worldly icon.
