Communication
Thank you, Pastor Joe, for your biblical guidance on how we husbands can support our wives in improving communication within our marriage. I miss you all that couldn't make it today.

@Christine Shaw Can I ask what your husband Dan does for work ? How long have you been married ? Do you have kids ?

@Christine Shaw Apologies for the delayed response. We have been married for 4 years, and this month on the 22nd, we will celebrate our anniversary. Together, we have spent 10 years. Our home is in Los Angeles, California. I now see why it can be difficult for your husband to detach from work; being a superintendent is indeed a highly demanding role. It involves extensive planning and managing the projects he is assigned to, and he must consistently perform at his best to satisfy his employer. I can certainly understand that challenge. I have worked on numerous construction sites nationwide as a low voltage technician. I'm not suggesting it's impossible; with God, nothing is beyond reach. Regardless of our job titles, it's crucial to establish boundaries that safeguard our marriages.
Praying Together
I was told early in our marriage about the importance of praying together as a couple. In some cases, we were told a frequency, and in other cases, we were not. What has been your (the group's) experience with praying together, and how often do you pray together?

My wife and I have a special moment where we pray together in bed right before we fall asleep. We alternate who gets to lead the prayer. Most of the time, I take on that role, and I'm perfectly fine with it. If I ever ask her to pray, she happily agrees. I also believe that husbands often enter marriage with the expectation that their wives will read the Bible together every day. Personally, I find that unrealistic. I appreciate what Pastor Joe mentioned about him and Krissy reading separately; they might be exploring different books in the Bible, but they always come together to discuss what they’ve read.

@Bryan Fitting In my case, we began praying together right from the start. However, it's never too late to begin. Whatever has happened in the past is forgiven, as God always offers us a new beginning.
Why are you grateful for your spouse?
Drop one line in the comments: “I’m grateful for my spouse because…” Need ideas? – They show up for our family – They give grace – They make me laugh – They pray for us – They work hard – They choose us daily Your turn. ❤️

I am thankful for my wife Lorena, as she lovingly manages everything that needs attention at home while also working full-time and having a deep love for Jesus🙌🏻. Without her, I honestly can't imagine where I would be; because of her and Jesus, my life has completely transformed 100% into the path that God intends for me on His journey, not mine🙌🏻.
