HRT. This is one of the biggest question marks for women in perimenopause and something I get asked about often. I think it's important to understand the difference between synthetic hormones and bioidentical hormones. However... Something many health practitioners are not addressing first is: 🌿 Supporting the adrenals 🌿 Supporting the liver 🌿 Supporting gut health These systems play a significant role in hormone balance, detoxification, stress response, and how we experience symptoms. Before reaching for hormones, I believe it's important to ask: Is the body getting the support it needs? Because when these systems become more balanced and supported, symptoms may improve significantly and it is possible that hormone replacement may no longer be necessary. This isn't about ignoring symptoms or suffering through them. It's about looking at the whole picture and supporting the body as a whole. What are your thoughts on HRT? Cancelling plans and slowing down
This weekend, my boyfriend looked at me and said, "I really don't want to go. I just want to have a nice relaxing day with you." So we cancelled our plans. We went for breakfast, wandered through the farmers' market, enjoyed the sunshine, listened to music, and simply slowed down. It was perfect. Not because we did anything extraordinary. But because we gave ourselves permission to pause. Sometimes the most nourishing thing we can do is say no to one thing so we can say yes to ourselves. 💜 Tomorrow we gather inside The Pause Portal. The root of everything I teach
One of the things that surprises people the most is when they realize how synced my life is to my cycle and changing energy. My workouts My business My schedule Social plans. Even the way I structure my weeks. And over the years I’ve had women say things like:“That’s amazing. I would love to live like that.” I’ve even had another menopause coach say to me:“You are completely thriving in peri-menopause.” And honestly… the reason I’m sharing this isn’t because I have everything figured out. It’s because there’s a reason things shifted so much for me. Tracking. Understanding my patterns. Understanding my energy. Understanding when my body is asking for more… and when it’s asking for less. (And yes, I do support myself with supplements as well, but hormonal support isn’t the be-all and end-all.) My personal tracking method, The Cycle Compass, became the root of everything I teach and how I support women through peri-menopause. Because while I talk a lot about pausing, reconnecting to yourself, and listening to your body… the truth is:it’s very hard to listen to yourself when you don’t yet understand your rhythms. As women, we don’t always realize how often we override our bodies… In our workouts. In our schedules. In our work. In our relationships. Even in our thoughts. And over time, that override starts to show up as: • disrupted sleep • increased stress • mood swings • feeling off in your own body Sound familiar… especially if you’re in perimenopause? But here’s the thing… Pausing doesn’t have to be something big. It can be as simple as: • leaving a task for tomorrow • choosing rest instead of pushing through • taking a breath before saying yes • stepping away for a moment Tiny pauses. But they change everything.
