Menstrual Monday - HRT
HRT.
This is one of the biggest question marks for women in perimenopause and something I get asked about often.
I think it's important to understand the difference between synthetic hormones and bioidentical hormones.
However...
Something many health practitioners are not addressing first is:
🌿 Supporting the adrenals
🌿 Supporting the liver
🌿 Supporting gut health
These systems play a significant role in hormone balance, detoxification, stress response, and how we experience symptoms.
Before reaching for hormones, I believe it's important to ask:
Is the body getting the support it needs?
Because when these systems become more balanced and supported, symptoms may improve significantly and it is possible that hormone replacement may no longer be necessary.
This isn't about ignoring symptoms or suffering through them.
It's about looking at the whole picture and supporting the body as a whole.
What are your thoughts on HRT? Has anyone talked to you about supporting your adrenals, liver, and gut health before discussing hormones?
