Salvation Is Not Your Finish Line
I love the promise of a Zoe life - the kind of life where you're actually living in the fulness of what it means to follow Christ. Reading Joshua reminded me of how much the Israelite story mirrors ours today. Canaan was always the goal. God didn't just deliver the Israelites from Egypt so they could wander, he was leading them to a land of milk and honey. In the same way, salvation isn't about just being rescued from sin but stepping into the fulness of life in Christ. The tragedy here is many believers don't learn this and settle for a wilderness experience, content with deliverance but never walking in possession of everything Christ has apportioned. Just as Israel needed Joshua to lead them into Canaan, we need Jesus, our true Joshua, to lead is unto God's rest. And just like Canaan, the fulness of Christ doesn't come without battles. The Israelites faced seven nations standing in their way. We face spiritual opposition too, forces designed to keep us from experiencing all God has promised. But how amazing to remember that every single enemy you'll every face has already been defeated in Christ! Now if you're wondering "well if that's true, then where's my inheritance?" Remember, fulness isn't handed to the passive but received to the believer who hungers, presses in, and through faith explores new boundaries to take hold of what Jesus has already secured. The thing that you fear the most? The sin you just can't seem to shake? The fulness of Christ is on the other side. To God Be The Glory, Tolu
Zoe Life
John 10:10 ...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. If we look a little deeper at the Greek and the definitions of the words used, there are some beautiful, deeper, truths than what we read at face value. "Life" - Zoe - Literal and figurative life - Psuche (Psoo-khay): Heart or heartily, in our lives, mind/soul...an interesting addition to the translation is "Us + you" - This immediately brought to mind the reality that Jesus came to do life WITH us, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in covenant relationship. "More abundantly" - Perissos (Per-is-sos') - Superabundant in quantity - Superior in quality - Excessive and beyond measure - Superfluous; exceeding what is sufficient and more than is required He came to gave us this life Spiritually, physically, emotionally. Abundant life in thought, feelings, heart, and body. The key is for us to renew our minds so that we truly believe this in our core. Have an awesome week!

Jeremiah 29:11 unpacked
One of the things I love doing, and if you don't already I'd encourage you to do in your devotional time, is read multiple versions of the scripture, use a Concordance to unpack the definitions, and ask GenAI for any insights from a Hebraic perspective. I've found this a practical way to really dig deep into scripture, being led by Holy Spirit, and gain deeper insights and understandings. I recently did this for Jeremiah 29:11 and wanted to share my thoughts. Let's dive in: _______________________________________ "For I know" God, our Father, is not uncertain or double mind. This is His steadfast position, He is resolute, without any doubt. "the thoughts" Contrivance (the use of skill to bring something about or create something) that is concrete, cleverly devised, skillfully created, invention for a specific purpose "that I think" To weave or fabricate in the sense of building/manufacturing "towards you" That is deeply personal, unique and specific "thoughts of peace" - Shalom, meaning; safety, health, prosperity, wholeness (Spirit, soul and body), complete, restored (to His original intent as in the Garden), repaid (what the enemy stole) - Physical, emotional, relational, spiritual harmony; made perfect "says" Whisper or utterance (See 1 Kings 11-13 for how the Lord spoke to Elijah in the whisper. It requires us to be still to hear His voice) "the Lord" YHWH - I am that I am; Exodus 3:14 revealing the timeless presence, covenantal faithfulness and active involvement of God in our lives "not evil" Not adversity, affliction, pain or calamity "to give you" Appoint, assign, bestow upon, commit to you "an expected" - a hope - a cord or attachment to - a thing that I love for - bound together, twisted, waiting patiently "end" A future, prosperity, for all future generations, in covenantal continuity. _______________________________________ I pray this encourages you today! He has GOOD things in store for you and your families!
