Still in Shock at What God Did Yesterday
Hi all, I wanted to share a quick testimony about God's provision that happened this week. I work in tech sales, and quarter-end is always stressful, especially when it hasn’t been a great quarter. Last year I was the top corporate sales rep in my company, so having a tough quarter hit me hard since I’ve always wrestled with tying my identity to performance. Heading into the final two weeks, I had two huge deals that looked like they had almost no chance of closing. Honestly, I was hesitant to even pray about it, I mean does the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob really care about sales deals? If he does, what if my competitor is also a Christian praying for the same thing? Still I shared it with my Church recovery group and with my wife who all laid hands on me and prayed. Fast forward to the very last day of the quarter (8/29)… both deals came in within an hour of each other. I’m still in shock. Whether those prayers were answered in the way I hoped or not, God is still good but if it wasn’t for the faith of others, I don’t think I would have had the faith to ask Him for help. My prayer is that this community becomes a place where we can lay “digital hands” on each other, and borrowing each other's faith as God covers us with His favor, protection, and provision through the fullness of our inheritance in Christ (Eph. 2:6-7). To God Be The Glory, Tolu
