I spent years doing things the ‘right’ way—listening to family, friends, relationships (all of which went spectacularly well, obviously). Turns out, I was just following a script someone else had written for me. And guess what? It was rubbish.
I was living in the past, worrying about things I couldn't change, while being told to focus on a future that wasn’t even mine. "Achieve this, do that, then you’ll be happy!" Spoiler: I wasn’t.
Then I realised—life’s a holiday. And not one of those grim package deals where you get herded around like cattle. No, you pick where you go, what you do, how you experience it. The trip is already booked. So why was I spending mine stuck in a dodgy hotel with no air-con, when I could’ve been sipping something cold on a private beach?
The funniest part? My mind fought me every step of the way. Apparently, my body liked anxiety—absolute psychopath. But once I stopped playing along, once I actually felt the shift, everything changed. And now? I finally get it.
Jesus got this ages ago. Just be. Be present. Stop chasing, start living. Simple, really.
So, the question is—are you still following someone else’s itinerary, or are you ready to book your own trip?
