I found this wiggly fatty today while planting beets. I could feel my chickens eyeballing him, but I covered him up. Earthworms are the best! Not only do their tunnels aerate the soil and improve drainage but their castings are full of nutrients. I feel guilty whenever I fish with them! What's your favorite helper in the garden?

Seaside Natives
A couple of weekends ago I took a camping trip to the Gulf coast, where I'm from originally. On my hike I saw this pretty blooming rosemary variety native to the area. I wish I could grow it here, but it needs the sandy soil, warmer temps, and salty sea air to survive. What plants do you wish you could grow in your area but can't?

Plant The Seed
Has anyone started planning your spring garden yet? More specifically, did you harvest enough seed last year, will you order seed soon, or a combination of both? I'm definitely the latter.

Here's to being outdoors to garden, build, hike, and kayak. Then back inside to cook and bake with what we've grown! Heal inside by working outside!
