Self-Care Sunday: Making Yourself a Priority
🌿 Welcome Home Sunday 🌿 The Mindful Journey — Returning Home to Yourself Welcome Home, Beautiful Souls. 💛 Today, I'd like us to look at Welcome Home Sunday a little differently. What if Sunday wasn't just the day we prepare for another week? What if it became the day we intentionally chose to care for the one person we so often place last on our list — ourselves? Afterall, that is coming home to ourselves So, before you begin preparing for everyone and everything that needs you this coming week, make a little time for yourself. Find a comfortable place. Place both hands over your heart and take three slow, intentional breaths. Allow the outside world to become quiet for just a moment. Feel yourself returning to that beautiful center within you — the place where your heart, your truth, and your inner wisdom meet. You don't have to change anything in this moment. You don't have to become anything more than who you are right now. Just be present with yourself. Because coming home to yourself isn't another thing on your to-do list. It's how you begin remembering that you matter, too. And perhaps, as we continue walking this healing journey together, we can begin looking at Sundays not simply as the end of one week or the beginning of another, but as a sacred opportunity to nurture the relationship we have with ourselves. 💛 A Heartfelt Question For You If you gave yourself the same love, patience, and care that you so freely give to others, what would you do differently for yourself today? Share from your heart if you feel called. Your experience may be exactly what another beautiful soul needs to hear. Welcome Home. 💛 One step, one breath at a time. Aligning with the Energies Around/Within Us
✨ What if grounding isn't simply about connecting to the Earth, but about learning to recognize, understand, and consciously work with the energies we experience every day? Everything around us is in constant motion. Nature moves through its seasons, the Moon through its phases, and we, too, experience our own cycles of expansion, stillness, transformation, and renewal. And just as the Earth has its rhythms, so do we. Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt a shift in the atmosphere? Or spent time with someone and walked away feeling either uplifted or completely drained? Perhaps you've awakened feeling peaceful and centered, only to find yourself overwhelmed by the emotions, expectations, and demands of others before the day is over. "This is where energetic awareness becomes an important part of our mindfulness journey." We don't have to absorb every emotion around us. We don't have to respond to every disturbance. And we certainly don't have to abandon our own inner peace simply because the world around us is unsettled. Grounding teaches us how to remain connected to ourselves while experiencing the world around us. 💛 Today's Heart-Centered Question: When you feel the energies around you shifting, do you find yourself being pulled into them, or are you learning to remain grounded in the truth of who you are? I'd love to hear your reflections. 🌿 Welcome Home to Yourself With Love and Gratitude Laurie Rolling The Mindful Journey — Returning Home to Yourself 💛
Setting In On Sundays
Welhome Home Sundays touchs my heart and enables me to settle in and reconnect after the weekend. It's why I chose to create The Mindful Journey — Returning Home to Yourself And I ask, What does it truly mean to come home to yourself? Sit with that question for a moment. Not just think about it with your mind, but feel it within your heart. Because coming home to yourself is so much more than finding a quiet moment, taking a deep breath, or stepping away from the noise of the world. Coming home to yourself is remembering who you are beneath the noise. Remember, Somewhere along our journey, many of us began to lose touch with ourselves. We became who we needed to be to survive. We learned to be strong when we wanted to fall apart. We learned to smile when our hearts were hurting. We learned to put the needs, expectations, and happiness of others before our own. And sometimes, without even realizing it, we became strangers to our own hearts. We stopped asking ourselves what we needed. We stopped listening to that quiet voice within us. We became so busy living our lives that we forgot to truly experience them. And then, Something begins to stir within us. A quiet knowing. A longing for something we cannot quite explain. A connection to Love? A connection to The Divine? Is it the connection to Spirit? And, When we learn to truly reconnect we finally understand what it means to Come Home And what does it feel like when we finally begin to return home? It feels like being able to exhale after holding our breath for far too long. It feels like no longer having to prove our worth, explain our existence, or apologize for being who we are. It feels like discovering that the love, peace, and acceptance we have spent so much of our lives searching for outside ourselves has been there waiting to be cultivated within us. And that realization is where beautiful things begins to happen. We become gentler with ourselves. We begin to recognize when something no longer feels right within our hearts.

Why I Chose Gratitude
Why I choose to have gratitude Thursday or Thankful Thursday however you wish to think of it. After all, Gratitude Is All About Being Thankful. After a very hard, long, or easy week at work, or at home, things begin tuggingat us, pulling us out of alignment, possibly triggering us on a heart level. Like me this week, The way some people behave knocked me way way the f*** out of alignment and I'm thankful that I knew what to do to recenter myself and that I've made it through another week. Tomorrow is Friday, most people's last day of the work week but Friday is also a chance to stay up late bask in the Moonlight and Gaze at the stars. Especially with the New Moon In Library that's coming. I'm so thankful and grateful to be able to follow the cycles of the Moon and use them with the changing seasons of my life. What are you thankful for this week? Laurie Mindfulness Coach Founder of The Mindful Journey
