God develops the fruit of the Spirit in your life by allowing you to experience circumstances in which you’re tempted to express the exact opposite quality! God teaches us love by putting some unlovely people around us. It takes no character to love people who are lovely and loving to you. This just blessed my soul that I had to share with you guys I don’t know who needed this right now!

At some point, faith becomes personal. Not because questions disappear, but because Christ becomes undeniable.

This day sits heavy and hearty for me. In my book, I write about the tense anxiety I had right before graduating high school. I didn’t know WHAT I was supposed to DO. But now older, I see the real issue - I didn’t know WHO I was in Him. The Heavenly Father acknowledged WHO Jesus was first. Then, after a small challenge in the wilderness, He started DOING what He was called to do. Identify comes before doing - who you are gives meaning to what you do.

Gal 6:4 - “Pay careful attention your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.” Comparison is the thief of joy and sometimes it’s easy to see how well someone else is doing instead of focusing on the path God has set for you. God has given us all our own story, our own pace, and our own destination. It’s important that we not look at someone’s peak and compare it to our lives when we may be in the valley. Or vice versa. One excuse I have told myself time and time again is that I don’t have time, but in all honestly it’s I don’t prioritize. I know that when I plan my day ahead and get up on the first alarm instead of hitting snooze I am prioritizing my time with God, my personal time, and family time.
