- “Effective prayer”This is not just repeating words. It means sincere, passionate, intentional prayer. Prayer with faith, honesty, and consistency. - “Of a righteous man”This doesn’t mean perfect. It means someone striving to live right before God, walking in obedience, repentance, and relationship with Him. - “Can accomplish much”Prayer changes things: hearts situations direction peace strength healing opportunities - Sometimes God changes the situation, and sometimes He changes you through the situation. What God is saying through this: “Don’t underestimate your prayers. Your prayers have power when your life is aligned with Me.” Because some battles aren’t won by influence, money, or status… but through consistent prayer and obedience.

I want to become the kind of man who can one day look back and say that, for those of us who grew up around constant chaos, peace was possible. The kind of man who seeks to build a faithful marriage, maximize his academic potential, grow steadily in his career, stay rooted in church, and serve his community through voting and volunteer work. I want to live in a way that shows doing the right thing, honoring God, and staying faithful to good principles is not a naive path, but one that can lead to a meaningful and well-lived life.

After reacting with confusion to another opportunity, one of my advisors said something that stuck with me: “You always seem confused when something good happens to you.” And she was right. The truth is, when you’ve spent enough time in environments that make you feel small, recognition can feel unfamiliar. You start questioning opportunities instead of simply receiving them. But I’m learning that sometimes the opportunities showing up are simply a reflection of the work, consistency, and effort people have been seeing, even when you struggle to see it yourself.
