Episode 15: Burnout is not failure. It may be a signal.
Sometimes burnout is not just about being tired. It can be your body, your home, and your life asking you to slow down and look deeper. In this week’s episode of The Sacred Designer Podcast, Alyssa talks with Amanda Baudier, coach, speaker, and founder of The Becoming Collective, about burnout, ambition, rest, and how our spaces can support recovery. They talk about how burnout can show up as: ✨ apathy ✨ overwhelm ✨ perfectionism ✨ always pushing ✨ feeling disconnected ✨ coming home and collapsing ✨ not feeling like yourself anymore One of the biggest reminders from this episode is this: Your life should not burn you out in order to prove that you are capable. 🎧 Listen to Episode 15 of The Sacred Designer Podcast: Designing a Life That Does Not Burn You Out with Amanda Baudier Now I’d love to hear from you: What is one area of your life or home that feels like it is asking for more space, rest, or support? Episode 14: What is your home asking for?
Life can change faster than our homes do. A new chapter. A loss. A move. A growth season. A time when you are becoming someone new. In this week’s episode of The Sacred Designer Podcast, Alyssa talks with Vivian Frost about how your home can support you during seasons of change. They talk about feng shui, energy, mindset, and the small shifts that can help your home feel more grounded. One of the biggest reminders from this episode is this: Your home does not have to be perfect to be powerful. It just needs to support who you are right now. Sometimes, your home is not asking for a full remodel. Sometimes, it is asking for care. light. space. fresh air. A small reset Now I’d love to hear from you: What is one space in your home that feels heavy, stuck, or ready for a reset? Share below 👇 Planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel? Episode 13: Your home should support your life, not just look pretty.
In this week’s episode of The Sacred Designer Podcast, Alyssa talks with Kristy of Crew Collective Design about design that goes deeper than finishes. They talk about how your homework as a whole system. Not just one room. Not just one color. Not just one pretty choice. But the full feeling of the home. A well-designed home should support: ✨ your daily routines ✨ your energy ✨ your stress level ✨ your storage needs ✨ your future plans ✨ the way you move through the space One of the biggest lessons from this episode is this: Design choices should not be made in isolation. A cabinet, floor, tile, or paint color may look beautiful on its own. But if it does not work with the rest of your home, it can create more stress later. This is why planning matters so much. Before you remodel, slow down. Look at the whole home. Think about how each choice supports your life now and in the future. 🎧 Listen to Episode 13 of The Sacred Designer Podcast: Designing a Home That Holds Your Life Now I’d love to hear from you: What is one area of your home that feels “off” right now?Is it the layout, the storage, the lighting, the flow, or the feeling of the space? Episode 12: Your Home Might Be Dysregulating Your Nervous System
What if the way your home feels is affecting the way your body feels too? In this episode of The Sacred Designer, I sat down with Brittany to talk about the body as our first home, nervous system regulation, somatic healing, and how our spaces can either support us or quietly dysregulate us. We talked about: • how to tell when your body feels safe versus activated • why some rooms instantly feel heavy or overwhelming • how clutter, lighting, and layout affect the nervous system • what somatic healing actually means in a simple way • how to start listening to your body instead of overriding it • why your home should support not just who you are, but who you want to become One of my favorite reminders from this conversation: healing does not begin with perfection. It begins with presence. If you have ever walked into a room and instantly felt off, overwhelmed, or at peace, your body is telling you something. Episode 11: Art, Nature, and Ritual
In this episode of The Sacred Designer, Amy shared how from a very young age, she learned to transmute pain into beauty through art. That reminder feels so powerful: we do not always have to explain our pain. Sometimes we create through it. Sometimes beauty is how we survive it. And for @amy.walton.artist , nature remained a constant source of that healing. What helps you turn heaviness into something beautiful?
