Somewhere along the way, we were taught that if we’re not following through… we just need more discipline. But what I’ve been noticing lately is this… It’s usually not discipline that’s missing. It’s avoidance. It can look like being “busy” or waiting until we feel ready or telling ourselves we’ll start tomorrow. And underneath that… There's often something we don’t want to feel. Not because we’re doing anything wrong, but because no one really taught us how to stay with ourselves in those moments. So instead of asking, "Why can’t I just follow through?” What if the question became: 💫“What am I avoiding feeling right now?” Just noticing what comes up… That’s where things start to shift. 💛

I had this moment recently… where I could feel that urge to push. To get it together. To do a little more. To try and “fix” the feeling. And I caught myself. Because I’ve been noticing something—in myself, and in the women I talk to all the time… The harder we push, the more stuck things seem to be. Not because we’re doing it wrong. But because pushing was never what the body was asking for. When I slow it down… even just a little… it’s not a change I’m craving in that moment. It’s something softer that I need for myself. Space. Relief. A sense that I’m actually on my own side. 💛 Gentle check-in: What’s one thing your body has been trying to tell you lately…that you might be ready to hear?
