When is a slug a friend?
Did a night hunt for pests tonight, catching about 60 slugs, some cockroaches, earwigs and a couple of snails. My motivation was to find what was chewing the top of a big cabbage. I expected an animal but it was a very veracious giant slug — now deceased! There was quite a few leopard slugs prowling the yard. I leave these slugs alone as they typically don’t eat fresh vegetation. They prefer decaying matter, rotting meat, and known to hunt down and consume the pesky slugs. Easy to spot as the marking as much like a leopard. Some of the bad slugs were almost as big as this fellow.

My seasol find
I use season in all my potted plants also in garden. I was excited when I found a lager spray today, as I have trouble lifting my watering can, when full due to my back

Capsicum
I have never seen the different varieties capsicum have to offer. I am well aware of all the different chilli's but not capsicum. My wife brought home peperone sweet capsicum to have in our salad and absolutely loved them, she put some seeds aside and asked me to grow them, we all know when we grow them ourselves the food tastes soooo much better 🙂 So this weekend I'll be pulling up my potatos, topping up the soil in the bed and planting these new capsicum seeds. The potatos didn't do so well, I'll do up a post about them tomorrow after I have dug everything up. Pls show me your capsicums
