Speaker Reel Storyboard Review
@Anna Thomas had a great question about a demo reel storyboard. Here's my video reply! Condensed Summary of Feedback for Dr. Anna Thomas' Demo Reel: 1- Structure for Impact: - Follow the Perfect Demo Reel Blueprint (Hook, Intrigue, Problem, Mentor, Transformation). - Restructure to build tension before introducing yourself. 2- Stronger Hook & Relevance: - End the hook at “breaking point”—don’t introduce yourself too early. - Move “One in three caregivers leave their jobs” and “Silver Tsunami” sooner for stronger impact. - Call out key decision-makers earlier to make the problem feel urgent. 3- Visual & Audio Enhancements: - Start with live footage of yourself speaking (if possible). - Limit to 2-3 music changes for smoother flow. 4- Position Yourself as the Mentor: - Once introduced, shift focus to how you solve the problem. - Highlight transformation stories and social proof early. 5- Clarity & Messaging: - Avoid text-heavy visuals while speaking—keep it clean and engaging. - Replace “Here’s what I speak on” with a clear framework or method. Final Thoughts: Great foundation! A few structural tweaks will improve engagement and impact.

Great Speaker Demo Reel (Week 1 Module 3) Homework
https://youtu.be/Fw17ZKhregE?si=xufy8Qx6wsI2ma8h I LIKED: good use of logos for social proof good use of b-roll great energy the entire time - seems to match what hearing him speak would be like (his message and audience is very aligned with mine as well, so I loved that) clear call to action
Emily Ladau's Demo Reel
It's not every day that you get someone like Emily on a call. She's a superstar speaker in the world of disability inclusion and accessibility, and we got to tell her story. Emily Ladau is a disability rights activist, author, and speaker who uses storytelling to promote social justice and inclusion. Her advocacy journey began at the age of 10 with an appearance on Sesame Street. Emily authored Demystifying Disability, an accessible guide on how to be an ally to the disability community. In addition to her activism, she co-hosts The Accessible Stall Podcast and consults on communications for various disability-related initiatives. What's our process? 1️⃣ First, we consume all the speaker's content. Yes. We watch all the best stuff to find the gold that event planners actually want to see. 2️⃣ Next, we storyboard everything to find the gaps we need to fill with new content. 3️⃣ After that, we conduct a professional interview with the speaker to get even more content, specific to the pain points of the industry. 4️⃣ Then it's off to editing where things really start to come together. The final output is something like this. (plus a few extra goodies from all that content) What do you think of Emily's reel? Need a demo reel? See if you qualify for our Done-For-You service
