We have had quite a few new Lab members join over the last few weeks. Welcome! It's exciting to have you sharing your thoughts and experiences with color analysis and personality preference systems. Most of what's in the Classroom exists because I wanted it for my own work and couldn't find it anywhere. A lot of you probably haven't clicked over to that tab yet, so here's what's in there. It's all free. Apps: Best-Fit Personality Preference Lab app: If you've ever gotten a different personality type result depending on which test you took, this one is for you. It walks you through the letters people most often flip on and can help you settle on your best fit personality type. Color Attribute Explorer app: The playing-around version of the Five Dimensions (the PDF below). Move one attribute at a time and watch what happens to the color. I have found it SUPER useful for finally feeling the difference between chroma and clarity. Personality x Color Analysis Database app: The one we're building together. As far as I can tell, no one has data on whether personality preference and color type/season have any relationship at all. So we're making it. Go see what's there so far, and add your own if you haven't. PDFs [my initial efforts before I moved to app building]: Personality Preference and Color Implementation pdf: All 16 preferences, and how yours is a genuine strength on this journey once you know how to use it. It covers what tends to get in the way for each type when it's time to actually wear the thing, and how to build an approach that honors the way you already think. The Five Dimensions of Personal Color Analysis pdf: Hue, value, chroma, clarity, contrast. The five things being measured underneath your season name. These terms get mixed up constantly (chroma is not clarity), so the guide takes them one at a time. App in development: Color Analyst x Preference Appeal Index: Still very much a work in progress. I went through analyst websites, looked at the language they use to sell, and mapped it against personality preference. Useful if you're picking an analyst, and also if you are one and you're wondering who your marketing is talking to. I'd really like to know whether this is something you'd find interesting before I take it further. There's a pinned post inside that one, so go have a look at what's there and jump on the post to tell me what you think.
