Real Talk: the in between space
My boss came in and told me my job was ending six months earlier than planned.
I was devastated.
I had given everything to that team
and in the end, I felt like just a number.
I was grateful to have a job to return to, but it meant 50% weekends when I hadn’t been working any before,
and working in a department I didn’t feel connected to.
I felt dismissed.
Disempowered.
Angry.
Not long after, I started noticing signs of compassion fatigue and burnout, instead of pushing harder, I paused and asked for help.
People in this community, offered empathy, asked thoughtful questions about where my safe spaces are, and encouraged me to be honest inside my own Skool community.
That reminder
to be kind to myself
landed deeply.
Today, I trained at a new job and I’m holding space for whatever unfolds next.
I’m also feeling the nudge to lean more fully into my coaching because every hard season teaches us how to meet others with more depth, compassion, and truth.
If you’re walking through something hard right now, you’re not behind.
This is part of the work.
✨ Reflection for you:
Where could you soften instead of pushing this week?
And who feels safe enough to tell the truth to?
You don’t have to carry it alone.
We’re here together. 💛
I’m going through a time
I want more support
I feel supported
I don’t know what I feel
