Why High Performers Slow Down Too Soon
Iām turning 58 this year, and if Iām honestā¦ the resistance doesnāt get quieter. It gets louder. The voice changes. Itās no longer, āWhat if you fail?ā Now it says, āYouāve already worked hard enough.ā āItās okay to slow down.ā āYouāve earned the right to coast.ā And yesā¦ thereās truth in some of that. We all have permission to slow down. To choose quite. To redefine what success looks like. But sometimes that voice isnāt wisdom. Sometimes itās just comfort trying to take over.
