Ask Better AI
-----------------------
Most people think AI is the problem.
It is not.
I watched someone use the same AI tool with the same access as everyone else and get completely different results for weeks.
Nothing was wrong with the model.
What changed was the way they were communicating with it.
No structure in the request.
No context for the situation.
No clear instruction on what outcome was needed.
Just scattered thinking, thrown at the system, expecting it to sort itself out.
The result was predictable. The output matched the input. Unfocused and inconsistent.
The shift happened when the input stopped being random.
They started using a simple structure:
Context first, what is happening and why it matters.
Clarity second, what outcome is actually needed.
Constraint third, how the response should be shaped.
That is the full framework. Nothing missing. Nothing more advanced hiding underneath it.
Once that was applied, the change was immediate.
Responses became usable instead of vague.
Less rework, because the first answer was closer to correct.
Less interpretation required, more direct execution.
Most people assume they need better AI.
They do not.
They need better input.
AI does not rescue unclear thinking. It exposes it.
The clarity of your output is limited by the clarity of your request.
Something to Ponder On 🤔
If your input has no structure, what exactly are you expecting the output to organise?
Remember:
Clear thinking produces usable questions, not better tools.
