A thought I find important enough to say out loud:
AI is useful but it can also make people mentally lazy.
Not because people are weak because the brain is efficient. Let‘s be honest, it always looks for the faster path, the easier way, the shortcut.
So when a tool is always there to give you the idea, the phrasing, the structure, the answer, it does not just save time. It can slowly train you to stop doing that work yourself.
Creativity does not only live in the final result. To me it lives in the friction, searching, trying to say something before you fully know how to say it and also in having to sit with your own thoughts long enough for something real to come through.
When that part disappears, your work may still look good but it starts to lose: Depth, edge and especially originality. Your originality…
AI can support your thinking, no doubt about that.
But the moment it starts replacing your thinking, something in you goes quiet. And the more often that happens, the easier it becomes to live in borrowed words, borrowed ideas, borrowed clarity.
At some point I think, that is no longer support, that is self-abandonment in a polished form.
What do you think?
