As a child of the 80s, I thought it was amazing when my mother purchased a set of encyclopedias from a door to door salesman. If I had a research paper to write, information was within reach. See you later library! Now, we're flooded with information. We don't have to put in any effort to obtain information, solve a problem, write a memo, etc. There is no thought, no strategizing, no creative juices flowing, no personal touch necessary to complete everyday tasks. I feel like I need to jump on the AI bandwagon or be left behind but I feel as though it's going to make our race expendable. Will there even be a need for our children to go to school if AI can do everything at the touch of a keyboard or the sound of our voice? Am I alone feeling like this- not wanting to be left behind but terrified of what's to come?
