How I stop Claude from making things up
Was going through the hallucination module and wanted to add the one habit that's saved my butt.
Simply telling it to web search.
Especially when asking about how a tool works (software changes all the time), whether something's still true, etc I add "search the web." Now it's not pulling from its training data, it's pulling from pages it just read.
Then the annoying part haha
I check the links to the sources it cites! Every now and then it cites a SEO article or some other strange obscure site.
But most of the time it successfully grounds the response in reality!
