"Talent is forged in calm... Character, in the storm."
This quote reminds us of the importance of allowing our children to build their character through adversity. Even though it may hurt us as parents, we should be grateful for the challenges and difficult trials our children face, and while we must be there to support them, we must not forget that these are their struggles and that we should not confront them on their behalf. This will allow them to grow into children with better self-esteem, autonomy, and self-confidence.

"Children should always sleep at home"
A recent video that went viral online featured a district attorney warning parents about the risks of allowing their children to spend the night away from home. A significant number of abuses occur during these moments. Although almost all parents trusted the people to whom they entrusted their children, those individuals turned out to be deceitful, portraying an image far removed from who they truly were. Additionally, other cases emerged where outsiders, such as guests or employees, were the ones responsible for the abuse. The attorney urges us not to entrust something as vital as the safety of our children to anyone and to never, under any circumstances, allow them to sleep away from home.

"If you want to change the world, go home and love your family. - Mother Teresa of Calcutta"
This is my favorite quote about family because it reminds us that if we want to make a positive impact on the world, we must first make a positive impact on our family. We all desire a better world, and it begins in our homes. This idea also applies on a societal and even spiritual level. If we want to serve God and our community, we must create a united family with individuals who are fulfilled and rooted in strong values.

"The story of the one-eyed king"
This fable reminds us of the responsibility we bear in shaping our children, especially when it comes to instilling values. “Long ago, the son of a wise king was brought before his father by the people to be judged for committing a grave crime, punishable by the loss of both eyes. The king, devastated by his son’s actions, offered the people an alternative: he would give one of his own eyes to prevent his son from losing his sight entirely, as he, being the father, also bore responsibility for his son’s crimes.”

"The best gift you can give your children is to heal yourself"
This invaluable quote reminds us of the importance of prioritizing our mental and emotional health to be the best version of ourselves during parenting. No matter how much theory we apply in raising our children, practice ultimately carries far greater weight. What we convey is more impactful than what we say. Seeing their parents as whole and healed individuals provides children with emotional support that significantly influences the development of their self-esteem and character.
