Podcast episode: guest is white, queer, nonbinary, and autistic - and eloquent
I thought my current episode of my podcast, Stories We Haven't Shared, might be of interest to this group. While the podcast covers a wide spectrum of underrepresented guests, this one is with Felix Sutherland (they/them), who is white, queer, nonbinary, and autistic. Felix is extremely eloquent about complex, deeply-personal topics -- offering an eye-opening window into their lived personal and professional experiences. They share stories of self-recognition around identity and neurodivergence. The conversation explores allyship, masking, workplace safety, and the emotional labor required to navigate systems not designed with them in mind. They reflect on how overcompensating through perfectionism and overachievement leads to deep exhaustion, and how cultivating self-trust supports a shift toward work that is aligned, joyful, and sustainable.
