Success Syndicate Update: Moving Forward

Hello Success Syndicate Family. I hope you are all having a fantastic start to the week!

As I posted this morning, I have been giving some serious thought to the Syndicate and where it’s at, where it’s going, and what I wanted it to be. I feel that we really started to create something good here in our little corner of the universe on the Skool platform, and I want to continue it. We have made some great connections, found new friends, and have all learned from and taught others about our business here.

I have really enjoyed moderating things and it’s been a fun and welcome addition to my outside consulting of lgbtq small businesses. I really want to continue what we are doing together, but I want to make sure it’s worth both our members’ time and my own. I think for having over 100 members, for us really to be a thriving community AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, helping each other learn about and growing our businesses, we need to have more participation in the group level, or change the format to make it fit our needs better, especially the one’s who are participating regularly.

To do that, here are the changes I am going to be making. We will continue here on the Skool platform through the month of September, as I evaluate our needs and participation. Also starting next Monday, August 31st, I will be changing our community over to a “Paid Subscription” Skool. The membership fee will be $19 a month FOR NEW MEMBERS ONLY WHO START ON AUGUST 31 AND BEYOND.

All of our current 111 members and any New Members that join between today and this Sunday, August 30th, will be Grandfathered into their current member status. “FREE Members will continue to be FREE FOREVER until they leave the group. If they decide to rejoin later, they will have to rejoin at the subscription rate. If you are in the current “Standard,” $19 plan, you will continue on that plan until you leave the group. If you are on the current VIP plan, that will be eliminated and your membership will go down to the $19 a month subscription plan.

I am doing this for two reasons; one, I think if you actually are paying for something and have skin in the game, you are more likely to participate, and two, it makes us compelled to be adding value to the group, where we are making it worth the investment in our businesses and ourselves.

I will continue to update the community Daily, Monday through Friday, offer growth challenges, have Thursday Coffee Chats, offer tips, tricks, and templates to improve your businesses, and continue to add more value to the group and encourage group participation. During September, we will see if we have any growth in the new subscription community, or more engagement from our current members. If either happens, we will continue the group here on the Skool platform, and I will continue to pay the $99 a month that it costs to host our site here.

If we don’t see any growth, or more participation in the community, I will start a free, private, community over on LinkedIn, and invite our active and participating members to get together over there, where there is no cost to maintain that group. We will then move our Thursday coffee chats to my virtual podcast studio.

I hope everyone understands my reasoning behind these changes and you are hopeful as I am that we will continue what we started here for a long time to come. Again, however you currently are participating, will NOT change, I just hope we can encourage more people to actively engage, even if only 1 or 2 times a week.
