Starting Off
Hey team, Happy Friday - what a week it has been with the school holidays! A quick read about starting - how have you found starting the program? It is tricky to know the "best" time to start. What I have found is that the perfect time doesn't really exist. Starting something new, particularly if it requires investment of time and energy, is hard. It is a change in your routine, and from a physiological and psychological perspective, your body and brain won't like it. New areas of your body will be comfortable. New stresses may appear. So what I like to focus on is the idea of "Messy Action". Messy Action is exactly that, a bit messy. Again, not about it being pretty, just getting it done. So the program may say, 60 minutes, but 15 is okay because it's a start. And a start is more than where you stopped yesterday. Hey Team! Hope you had a great week! What has been your big win this week with your training? Looks like the weekend isnt too conclusive to running! Hoping to get my run done on saturday before it sets in heavy. For those on the Start Running Program, I would really appreciate if you can check you have been receiving my emails.
