Home made, high quality coffee water!
So... What is the best and easiest way for someone at home to be able to ‘make’ or achieve the best type of water for brewing coffee? Following on from our previous discussions on water for coffee: How good is your water for brewing coffee? What Water Filter do you use?
Handgrinders
For those who use them, whether at home or on the road, what is your favourite ? I used to have a Timemore C3 ESP PRO but it was quite exhausting to grind. I'll be testing the Kingrinder K6 next week which is exciting as many people say the clarity is amazing on filter coffee. I'm also testing a new FLAT BURR handgrinder by Normcore, which sounds wild.. What are you rocking?
My coffee setup transition over years
In the beginning - instant coffee, transitioned to nespresso about 15 years ago and about 2 years ago transitioned to a DF64 grinder and BBP and that is when I discovered the various beans - single origin vs mixed, how they are washed (still not clear on various methods) and exploring the flavors - still learning. What was your journey to current setup?

Consistent filter coffee?
In your opinion what is the simplest way to get consistent high quality filter brews? Something that you can do easily without much equipment and would not hesitate to recommend to beginners as well? Edit (recommendation so far) : Step 1: Get good coffee. Preferably grind fresh. If not possible get small batches ground at your local cafe. Step 2: Secure great water. Step 3: Brew immersion brews and see how you like it. It can even be done without any equipment. Step 4: Start off with equipment that has low barrier to entry, doesn't require too much skill and is consistent. My suggestion: Clever dripper for clarity of brews. Or aeropress for versatility and portability.
