Geisha From Anywhere But Panama...
So Panama Geisha is of course one of the most hotly hyped and most talked about coffee, famous for it's flavour profile and also obscene costs at some recent auctions. However, Geisha is grown in many countries all over the world. What are some other's that you have tried and loved? I just had this clean, sweet, citrusey geisha from Peru this morning at The Artisan in Copenhagen. Lovely stuff!

Caffé culture show London
Today I snuck out of work for a couple of hours to the caffé culture trade show. I've not been able to attend any coffee events this year and it was fun to go to one even for a short period. Tasted some wonderful coffee, met some interesting people and saw some amazing feats of engineering! I hope some of you were able to visit as well? Would have loved to meet some of you there, and maybe next time we will!

@Pradeep Javedar I’ve been installing one of these for Macknades in Faversham. It’s been a pretty interesting process for me coming from a traditional roasting side :)

@Mark Paradis the maintenance is pretty straightforward. I’ve been installing and building out a roasting process for a near by company. Basically every 10-13 cycles the chaff, water chamber and roast filters have to be emptied or cleaned (quick hover) and then every X roasts the air filters at the back of the machine have to be replaced. There are quite a few variables regarding what coffee type and how dark you roast so it’s not super straightforward to know how this works out from a cost or time perspective, so each case is a little different. It is a very small amount of coffee being roasted though so it’s only really suitable for a single cafe use.

@Lawk Othman haha... YES I can so relate with this... when I had a coffee shop this was the first thing I would do... in fact I actually really enjoyed being the first there way before everyone else and just taking my time to dial-in the grinder and trying out a few new recipes etc before the shop would open ... really was a wonderful time

@Benjamin Sand 100% ... spicy Tom Yum soup is a better option, and everything the regular way is a better idea 😅
