Howzit... thats my obligatory greeting done! Although I have been in this group a while I have been dodging potholes and speedhumps in KZN, FS, EC and negotiating road usage with taxis in the WC. I have one more night in SA then we fly back to Gatwick to reach our home in Eastbourne. The emotions are really mixed as a "soutie" who loves both countries. It was super to meet Pat in Ballito and we had intended to go to Josey, however, it brcame a problem, so it never happened. Besides family and friends, we had wildlife as a focus and managed to see many large animals and in my case photographed a few rare endemic birds including a naringa trogon. I hope to put together a monthly magazine for my outdoor group and Southern African outdoors will feature in it. Having retraced my footsteps in parts of the country I last visited in my youth, i found this trip invaluable. If you love the outdoors I would love to be friends.

Thank you for being here and thank you for being such fun. Now I have a very simple request. If you all could please stop responding to all posts for 24 hours so that I can get back to work and do the things I need to do over here, that would be wonderful. I have recently been reconnecting with some of my family's past items and trying to piece together some of the history. Just curious if anyone knows any connections in that area. Thank you so much.
