In the week I had a conversation with a friend about time… and how important it is to truly separate work time from family time. She shared something that really stayed with me. When she was little, her mom promised to take her to the park. But life got busy… and it never happened. Not because her mom didn’t love her — but because there was always “later.” Her mom has since passed away, and that missed trip to the park is now a memory she carries with her forever. Now, as a mom herself, she understands how easy it is to say, “We’ll go tomorrow.” But tomorrow isn’t promised. Family time isn’t just time. It’s memories. It’s connection.
