WORLD RADIO DAY – SA IS LEKKER STYLE
Think back to 1998… Sitting around the radio, listening to stories that made you laugh, cry, and imagine a whole new world. No screens. No scrolling. Just voices and vibes. Fast forward to 2003... Tapping your favorite songs off the radio, waiting patiently to press record at the perfect moment 🎶 Radio wasn’t just sound — it was a moment. And now? Listening to Jacaranda FM in the car with the family, singing along, catching the news, debating traffic updates, laughing at the presenters. Radio didn’t disappear. It grew with us. It evolved with us. It stayed with us. From cassette tapes… to car rides… to streaming apps. From childhood… to adulthood. That’s the power of radio. It connects. It informs. It entertains. It's part of our story. SA is LEKKER because our stories are lekker. 🇿🇦✨ Drop your favorite radio memory below 👇What station did you grow up listening to?

Tomorrow Isn’t Promised
In the week I had a conversation with a friend about time… and how important it is to truly separate work time from family time. She shared something that really stayed with me. When she was little, her mom promised to take her to the park. But life got busy… and it never happened. Not because her mom didn’t love her — but because there was always “later.” Her mom has since passed away, and that missed trip to the park is now a memory she carries with her forever. Now, as a mom herself, she understands how easy it is to say, “We’ll go tomorrow.” But tomorrow isn’t promised. Family time isn’t just time. It’s memories. It’s connection. It’s the moments our children will remember long after we’re gone. Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day ❤️ Let’s not wait until it’s too late to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us. Put the phone down. Close the laptop. Go to the park. Say the words. Give the hug. Work will always be there. The people we love won’t. Let’s choose presence. Let’s choose love. 🇿🇦💛

Woolies Surprise & This Week’s SA Specials – Let’s Share the Savings!
I’m not usually one to shop at Woolies, but last night I had a serious craving for chicken schnitzels 😅 Checkers didn’t have any, so I popped up to Woolworths… and guess what? They had a pack of 4 for R113.21, which I honestly didn’t think was bad at all! It actually got me thinking — sometimes it’s worth checking different stores because you might be surprised at the specials you find 👀 So let’s help each other out this week 👇 For our expats especially — what South African shops do you miss the most? Woolies? Checkers? Pick n Pay? Spar? And for those back home — what are some of the best specials you’ve spotted this week? Share the deals so we can all save a little where we can 🇿🇦✨ SA is lekker when we share the savings too!

SA Roads, Small Town Roots & Full Hearts
Today reminded me why South Africa will always have my heart 🇿🇦✨ Went to visit some friends in Magalies and wow… those long, open roads did something to my soul. Driving with nothing but blue skies, koppies in the distance and time to think brought back so many memories of growing up in a small town in Potchefstroom, North West. Simple days, Slower living There’s something about small towns and open roads that grounds you again — reminds you where you come from and what really matters. SA really is lekker 💛Where did you grow up, and which road always brings back memories for you?
