Week 4: Retraining my Fascia
It’s officially been a month of retraining the fascia after having a baby. 3 Things I’ve learned in the past month that I’ve been eager to share: 1. Fascia is layered and buildable 2. Wear and tear DOES exist 3. Fascia can be restored. Follow along for more updates

Week 3: Retraining my Fascia
This week was tough.. my fascia was dense because I was tense. Constantly thinking about things (positive or negative) can take over the mind and the connective tissue will dehydrate, tighten then shrink around the head, neck, and shoulders. Pair this with forward neck posture and holding a 7 month old, daily. In the upcoming week I plan to focus on grace and redemption. My fascia is in a rebirth stage. How has your fascia shifted this week?

Week 2: Retraining my fascia
This week my body has been speaking LOUDLY through my hips. Especially my psoas and hip flexors. At 7 months postpartum, this honestly makes so much sense. The hips and pelvis are also energetically connected to the root and sacral chakras — the centers associated with safety, grounding, identity, creativity, intimacy, and emotional flow. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum healing can deeply affect these centers. Your body just experienced expansion, vulnerability, survival, transformation, and release. Sometimes the fascia holds onto that experience even after birth has passed. The body remembers. But it also heals. 🌿

Week 2: Retraining my fascia
Week 1: Retraining my fascia
I am currently 7mo postpartum, learning how to love my fascia in its new state of being. These are some things I mentally let go of for a while during this time of healing but my body held onto: - Bad (lazy) eating habits - Making excuses for my lack of exercise - Not hydrating myself All of these things were in corners of my mind but I couldn’t bring myself to do ANY of them.. This week was different. I went on THREE 5 mile walks, drank lots of water, and ate more intentionally! My fascia thanked me by my third walk, loosening up in the hips and freely walking without restriction. Here’s a pic of my view on the walk 🤗 What improvements have you made?

Week 1: Retraining my fascia
A win of the week 🏅
This week I was able to get some self bodywork in! I was in the forest because the weather was nice. While I was in Pigeon Pose, I said a few mantras that really opened my chakra system and allowed energy to flow. If that ain’t a win.. idk what is!
