I've been thinking about how quickly we jump to conclusions.
Someone doesn't return your call.
"They're mad at me."
Someone gives you a funny look.
"What did I do?"
Someone doesn't invite you somewhere.
"Well, apparently I'm not important."
Good grief.
We can write an entire soap opera with absolutely no information.
And naturally, we cast ourselves as the wounded star.
😂
Here's the kicker.
Most of the time, people are so busy dealing with their own shit, they aren't even thinking about us.
Imagine that!
So today, before you create another award-winning drama in your head, ask yourself:
Do I actually KNOW this is true, or am I making up a story?
What's one assumption you've made that turned out to be completely wrong?
Come on. We've all got one.
