Mouthguard tooth pressure & pain
Hi all! My central incisors are the only upper teeth that make contact with a flat mouthguard, since they are the longest. Since the mouthguard cannot reach my back molars, the front incisors become the only point of contact, causing pressure on the front teeth only. I boiled the mouthguard so the front teeth sink into it and so my premolars and first molars can have contact as well. Now I don't have the discomfort and pressure. I know that this locks the bite, but my lower jaw is still brought forward when I put the guard on (upper and lower teeth align). I wanted to ask given those conditions whether the mouthguard is still better than nothing. Just to note, my mouthguard is not Reviv, since I cannot afford the price. Thank you for all the support!
