how to (quickly) change your life as a teenager
You’ve been grinding — gym, cold showers, meditating, and pretty much everything you’ve heard well of — but if you’re being honest… you still feel stuck.
No matter how much people tell you “results take time,” you’re still not satisfied.
And here’s the thing: I used to be in the exact same place, bro.
And then I found the lifestyle that changed everything for me almost overnight: essentialism.
📌 Why You’re Not Seeing Progress
Imagine you’re cooking four meals at once. You’ve got all four fires going, veggies half-cut, pots boiling, smoke alarms beeping…
Two hours later, you end up with two overcooked meals, one half-cooked mess, and one meal that's just barely edible.
Now, that’s your life right now.
You’re trying to max out every area at once — school, side hustles, fitness, studies, relationships, and doing all this while trying to stay healthy.
Bro, no wonder you don't see progress.
Even a god couldn’t keep that up. Your energy is scattered, so your results are scattered.
Now picture this: you turn off every burner except one. You finish cutting with ample time, cook the meal perfectly, and serve something that’s actually amazing. At least the family's eating one good meal.
That’s essentialism — focusing most of your attention on one main area to maximize progress.
And now immediately, that sounds scary. So let me clarify some of those fears you might have.
📌 “But I Want It All”
Of course you do. Me too.
I want to be jacked, make money, build amazing relationships, retire my parents, and still live a happy, healthy life.
But here’s the thing — you can have it all, just not all at the same time.
Cook one perfect meal first. Then move on to the next. Eventually, you’ll have them all done… and none of them will taste like regret.
📌 “But Is This Short-Term Sacrifice Really Necessary?”
Yes... kinda.
You don't need to SACRIFICE areas temporarily.
You can do another feature of essentialism that makes things less scary — a feature I call minimum viable effort. Instead of turning the other burners off, you just keep them on low heat.
For example, my main focus right now is work. Gym isn’t the priority, so I just spend 40 minutes a day there — for me, that's enough to not go fat again, without stealing time from my business.
Same with relationships — I’m not locking myself in a room and avoiding social interaction like COVID
But I limit the time I spend talking, so I’m not sacrificing my goals.
📌 The 3 Steps to Becoming an Essentialist
1️⃣ Set your priority.
Pick one area that gets most of your energy.
Work, school, fitness, relationships — just choose, bro. And by now, you should know what it is.
2️⃣ Learn to say no.
If you’re partying every week and “hanging out” every other day, you’re not progressing. Tell people you’re busy. (Pro tip: wait before replying to messages. Makes it more believable… because you actually ARE busy and not just tired of meeting up.)
I once heard: "Saying yes to one thing means saying no to hundreds of other things."
Whether you want to or not, you will have to sacrifice something.
You choose whether that's meeting up with friends or achieving your goals.
3️⃣ Create a routine.
If it’s not on your calendar, it’s probably not happening.
Make a daily plan so your brain expects to work on your priority at the same time every day. Over time, it’ll feel almost automatic.
📌 Final Words
Essentialism doesn't mean giving up on everything else forever. It’s about pouring most of your energy into one thing at a time so you can actually finish it — instead of leaving a bunch of half-cooked meals in your life.
Pick your priority. Give it most of your energy. Keep the rest on low heat.
And watch how fast your results stack up.
If you actually want to commit, comment your #1 priority below. You’ll be shocked at how much more likely you are to follow through once you write it down.
