Connecting in real life
Wondering if anyone is from Liverpool or near and would like to connect IRL, wanting to hang around with like minded people! Feel like who you surround yourself by is really important. Also if anyone is up for role play calls would be great! (Give me a little while to get a better understanding of the role first though!,complete beginner would love to hear other people’s journeys!)
What's your "Why"?
What's the reason that makes you go after it every day and give 100% in sales? I'll go first: for me, it's not so much about the cars or the possible vacations in the Maldives. The main reason is to be able to retire my parents and make it up to them for having taken care of me throughout my whole life. That's my "why" for going all in and constantly improving my sales skills. And how about you? What's your "why"? 🤔
Why Sales Jobs Are the Best!
Every Businessman was a salesperson! Elon Musk didn't found Tesla, He sold it and became CEO of it! You could spend 3 months tweaking your resume… Or spend 3 hours learning how to sell—and start making money tomorrow. Sales is the only job where: - You don’t need a degree - You control your income - You learn real-world skills - You get paid for performance, not presence And here’s the kicker: - 💼 Every business dies if no one is selling. - 💰 Every rich person either sold something or someone did it for them. So why wait? If you can sell, you’ll never need to beg for a job; you are the opportunity. Learn it!
A note on rejection:
Rejection sucks. Time slows down, your stomach drops, and for a minute, you’re just…numb. No matter who you are, it never feels good. I just lost a massive deal. One I genuinely believed I had a right to win. The kind of deal that makes you start picturing what’s next, imagining the impact it could have on your family, your future. And then…it didn’t happen. I’m not here to give you some unsolicited sales advice. Instead, I’ll share what helped me, and what hasn’t. What helped: - Feeling it. Pushing it away doesnt make it sting any less. - Pinpointing what (if anything) you could’ve controlled. - Committing to not making the same mistake twice. - Getting back on the horse. What didn’t help: - Beating yourself up over things you couldn’t control. - Letting it define your worth. - “Numbing out” for too long, making the next opportunity feel even further out of reach. If you’ve faced rejection recently, I FEEL you. Maybe that deal could’ve put food on the table, helped you pay down debt, or finally given your family that vacation you’ve been working toward. It’s okay to feel it. Just don’t let it keep you down.
Are you "locked-in" or just half-assing It?
We all know the saying, "lock in and get shit done", but are you truly locking in or just half-assing it? Are you really giving your work the full attention it deserves or are you constantly getting distracted with your phone every five minutes? Let's be real here, scrolling through social media does not count as progress. Here’s a tactical tip that I've recently implemented to get work done when I find my mind drifting: I ask myself: “What is your role right NOW?” When I’m with my 3-year-old, the role is "be a present and engaged father." When I’m lifting weights, it’s "full range of motion, feel the mind-muscle connection, and get that pump." When I’m on a sales call, it’s "have a relevant and meaningful conversation, and establish some sort of next step - for better or for worse." Throughout the day, I pause periodically to ask myself, “What is your role right NOW?” And truthfully, that’s when the quality work happens. Anything else? That’s just half-assing it—and you already know that’s where the mediocrity creeps in. Your turn. Ask yourself right now, “What is my current role?” Then lock in, and get it done.
