Sourcing products / building offers
I feel pretty confident around getting access to distribution.. communities, newsletters, email lists, etc.
Where I’m still finding it tricky is sourcing the right product to sell/build an offer for those audiences, especially if the community hasn’t been monetised before.
At the moment, I’m wondering whether the right approach is to:
  • Join the community and actively observe the problems/pain points that come up repeatedly
  • Then, research existing solutions from the market that will solve those pains and problems
  • Or running polls or handraisers to test demand for a potential solution/understand potential pain points before building or sourcing anything.
What I’d really love to understand is...
How do you go about identifying and sourcing products that genuinely solve a community’s problems?
Interested to hear what’s worked (and not worked) for others.
