Small win on my first auction. $5k.
Just ran an auction inside a trading discord community of about 300 members. I'm still in the dm's with some people but it looks like maybe I can tap one more sale in... Partner is happy since he hired closers -- booked 30 sales calls and couldn't close a single one. Then I run the auction and they almost can't believe how easy that was to get two peeps asking to give us their money lol. However there's some lessons learned so I can flip the coin again for the next auction Here's how it went down: I ran a pre auction poll that got a solid engagement about 40 people engaged that they'd bid at least $1. One person in the comments (the one who won the auction) Said he's ready to get it started now and placed a bid lol. So that was validation that we should run the auction. The plan was to run the auction the entire trading day. So from market open to market close. I think that was a mistake since not a lot of people were in the comments bidding until the very end which was like a span of 8 hours. Then people at the end were trying to beat each other but the bids hadn't even gotten that high... We had a total of about 20 bidders. The highest bid was $2504 We had 5 bids ofer $500 One sale tapped into a group coaching for $2500. In hindsight I think I should have not said when it was going to end. This would have probably made the biggest difference since there were still people trying to bid at the end. And given the offer so much more social proof and the sales easier on the backend. If you guys have any questions for clarity on anything specific or feedback that'd be amazing. Here's the offer for the auction: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PtWofTunMb6RxKbJpSJkyt73910ngqvAxt-dSnoovmA/edit?usp=sharing Appreciate yall!

Great job @Ricky Gonzalez! Thanks for sharing what was going on behind the scenes
The Good, Bad and UGLY of a $174,000 Fun Auction
HUGE THANK YOU to @Nick Roberts and @Marcus Karl for this candid interview. They did NOT sugar coat or gloss over the Bad or the Ugly of this auction. Spoiler alert: Everyone still had fun and $174,000 in sales with $50,000 cash collected. There are HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of creators and influencers with 5,000 or less followers on their FB profiles, Insta, YT channels, Email lists, X, Pinterest that could... Use the same EXACT method that Nick and Marcus did. And it doesn't have to be perfect. Why? Because the auction format is SO FORGIVING! Let's make this a LEARNING thread and ASK any questions you may have! Rooting For Ya, Travis PS I double-dawg dare ya to watch this and NOT lose sleep tonight! The WORLD is OURS! At the end... I gave them a tip to bring in another $100k. In ONE WORD. Then I showed them how to cash flow this for $1 million. PPS If you got anything out of this interview and breakdown, please drop some appreciation for Markus and Nick. They really gave this their all and went into detail!

@Honey Syed 🤣 I'm not mad if people 2x speed me. I get it : ) Glad you got a doable takeaway!

@Titus Di that's a great question. And something I'd thought to mention because it's important regardless of whether someone blows up the bids, or if the bids have passed the range that a non-bidder was hoping to jump in on. But I didn't get to it in the interview. Big thing - keep letting people know that their bids count and that there will be something for everyone that bids (also make sure that's true : ) ). Make posts about that as the auction proceeds to keep reminding folks. When you thank people for their bids in the auction thread during the auction, take the opportunity to encourage people to join the fun. "Even if yours isn't the winning bid, you can still be a winner just by joining in. There's something for everyone : )" - kinda message.
Super Advanced Tapping
So I’m working on a FUN-NEL in REAL TIME. (NOT in my head!) The dude watches my video and replies back… ā€œI love the open loop.ā€ Before you look at the pic… How would you respond? Then look at the pic. šŸ‘‰ And comment WHY I responded the way I did! šŸ‘‡ If we get 50 comments I’ll show you the REST of the convo! (I’ll unlock more in the comments as we get closer to the answer.) Update: See full convo and breakdown šŸ‘‡

I know I'm too late. But I love the conversation here. A big-deal marketing guy shared a great metaphor for this... If you have a beautiful product display in the front window of your shop, and people are talking about the window. There's a problem with the window. "that bad huh?" is non-defensive getting him back to sharing his feedback on whatever Travis had initially shared.
Before I send this... did I get it right?
Hey @Travis Sago, about to send this pre-auction email to the guy we talked about in the other thread... Meta Ads expert / Marketing Agency growth expert. His audience are a) business owners running ads for their own brands b) media buyers (agency owners + freelancers) Trying to figure out if I should do a Dutch or common auction. And whether there's enough demand to make the 1-on-1 consulting / coaching worthwhile. Here's what I've whipped up: "Hey NAME, I’m thinking about doing something fun. And possibly crazy. Not sure if I should, though. Can you help me decide, por favor? If I were to auction off a slot – maybe two – for me to be your wingman… And help you increase the ROAS you’re getting for your brand or for your clients, add $10k per month to your business (or more, depending on where you are), increase your client retention, your profits, or whatever is holding you back at the moment… …would you bid at least $1? I’ll only do it if enough people tell me they would bid for it… Reply to this email and let me know which option applies to you. A) I’m in, I’ll bid at least $1 B) Not sure. I’d need more details before placing any bid C) I’d rather sort my spam folder alphabetically than take part in the auction" What can I improve here?
