He created a really solid course that trains experts to become great podcast guests.
It’s sold well. He’s got buyers - doctors, financial advisors, CPAs, coaches.
Now he wants to license it. Let others rebrand it, resell it, use it as a lead-gen tool… the whole white-label play.
He emailed the offer to his buyer list.
Crickets.
His words:
“They think it’s an affiliate thing. And the last thing they want is to market a course.”
And he’s probably right.
They aren’t creators. They’re pros.
They bought the course to use it… not to sell it.
Here’s the angle I am thinking:
Instead of asking them to license it themselves, ask them who they know who might want to.
They all have peers or clients, people looking for turnkey authority assets.
So frame it as a “referral opportunity” not another job to take on.
But I feel like we’re missing something.
If you’ve licensed info products before or turned buyers into partners, I’d love to know what worked for you.
How would you approach this?
