When there is massively LOPSIDED ratio of (relevant) upside to downside they will invest 15 minutes for coffee 9 times out of 10!
To realistically ballpark THEIR upside you’ll need to do some RESEARCH first.
And then…
You remove the risk for them. (Which is Ronin’s Mini-Monopoly.)
Here’s a somewhat hypothetical example:
(The convo between a potential partner and a Ronin went cold. Why? Because the convo steered into prahdukt talk around the details of licensing. 🤮. The potential partner has a training which can be used by radiologists and doctors. I suggested research and then something like the below as a follow up.)
“There are over 7,000 radiology clinics in the U.S. alone that could massively benefit from your Scan training. If my calculations are right and we got 70 to license your training that would add about $700,000 a year in licensing revenue.
I haven’t even researched licensing it to individual doctors or internationally. .
Would it be worth a coffee over Zoom to see if it makes sense for us to team up on this? Where I do all the legwork and sales on a paid only for results basis?”
Do you see the upside/downside?
UPSIDE: The partner known all over the U.S. and maybe around the world? Helping others! And a potential $700,000 per year.
Downside: 15 minutes to see if there’s a “catch” and see if it’s a fit or not?

To solve a problem for their peeps, look like a hero, take stuff of their plate and compensation!
