You Have To Earn It
You can’t buy it.
You can’t demand it.
And nobody owes it to you.
I’m talking about respect.
Most people fall into one of two traps…
They either think:
“I deserve respect just for existing.”
Or…
“I deserve respect because of my title.”
That’s not how it works.
Respect isn’t given.
It’s earned.
And it’s earned through one thing…
Results.
The way you show up.
The way you perform.
The way you follow through.
The way you impact other people.
That’s what people respect.
Not your words.
Not your intentions.
Not your title.
Your results.
The problem is…
Most people spend all their time worrying about who respects them and who doesn’t.
Meanwhile…
They aren’t doing anything worth respecting.
If you took that same energy…
And put it into executing…
Producing…
Helping other people win…
You wouldn’t have to ask for respect.
You wouldn’t have to wonder about it.
You’d have it.
Because real respect shows up automatically when you become someone worth respecting.
So if you’re not getting it…
Don’t complain about it.
Earn it.
