Umbrella and fashion. Really?

Gents, do you think umbrella can be a fashionable item in the sun/rains? I ask because I can tell you that umbrellas are ubiquitous in Asian countries. Understandably, so. But, in the sun, it is a super cooling piece of your outfit. Now, being a guy with an experimental mindset, I have started using it regularly. Since umbrellas come with a UV protection layer underneath, they are as good as a sun shade when it comes to protection. And did I tell you that glasses only protect your eyes and not the face and neck which are equally sensitive.

I also read somewhere that the notion of men not using umbrellas originated in the U.S. military. Is that right? Please share your thoughts around this as this forum is the prefect place to address the issue .

So, this is my poll for the day: Would you consider swapping your sun glasses for an umbrella, given the benefits of the latter?
