Better late than never—last week’s meetings with “the Bobs” called for stepping up my game, so I went full power suit: sharp grey wool, pale light-blue shirt, navy tie, pocket square echoing the shirt, and a cheeky pair of pink socks that popped just right against the dark-brown shoes and charcoal trousers.

Early in the day I leaned into the sophisticated smokiness of Tom Ford Oud Wood—rich, woody, and quietly commanding—then freshened up mid-afternoon with Commitment by Antonio, because nothing says “I’ve got this” like a clean, confident re-spray that keeps the trail professional yet memorable.

Although it’s not your classic boardroom “business watch,” I couldn’t resist wearing my favorite mechanical piece—the subtle ticking and vintage-inspired dial just feel like the perfect understated flex when you’re in the hot seat.
