Need help finding OCBDs to fit
’s recent post about Oxford Cloth Button Down shirts got me thinking. I need more of these, as the ones I have are at least 25 years old and starting to get a bit shabby. It’s been literally decades since I went looking for white OCBDs, and back then, I had custom shirts from Brooks Brothers and from Woods & Brown, London. I’m a bit hard to fit at 19”x 36”, and prefer longer shirts, as I’m long-waisted.
Please, I’d like some advice on three things:
- Best brands for overall quality, fit and longevity.
- Prices ranges to expect.
- Best places to test them in person.
I will start as always, at the thrift stores, but don’t usually find much there that will fit. Any help appreciated.
