Braces / Suspenders

I just received one of my new suits where I asked the tailor to leave these as high waisted and to add suspender buttons. I have never worn suspenders. That said, I now need to buy a few sets. I am hoping to get a few recommendations on:

A good style guide on how to pair suspenders (knowing they are typically unseen), especially something on YouTube so I can see some specific models in use
A good place to buy suspenders. I know of KK&Y (or something akin) given their heavy marketing campaign, Kirby Allison, and a few others at this level but do not know enough about the quality n components to ensure I get
Any pointers that a new wearer should know or I have otherwise failed to ask here
