Testing karate
Karate skills should be tested in sparring and competition.
Although some techniques can’t be done. But in the old Rishinjuku Tatsujin rules punch, kick, knees, elbows, throws, ground and pound, submissions… even kick a person who is down and groin strikes were allowed.
Like karateka Brent Dupuis from Belgium 🇧🇪 Sfdojo who competed twice in one month in Japan 🇯🇵, and won twice against champions in their own rules set. (The last competition was against a 98 kg muscle martial artist and groin kicks and soccer kicks were allowed.)
Yet. Our trainings are very safe and accessible to everyone in Rishinjuku. Stupid hard training is not a necessity to become a good fighter. All competitors train hard. Smart training is the key. Check out our Muchimi course to have already a good understanding or contact me if you want to even know more.
