I'm so happy you've decided to join the party. Engagement is important to building community, so let us know who you are. Go ahead and tell us a little about you by copying the template below. Mine is in the comments. I am joining the party from _____________________, and something I wouldn't want to live without is ____________________.
Let The Party Begin
A Whole New Perspective
It's Week 1, Day 2 and I woke up sore, but rolled out of bed anyway. Cardio kicked my butt and I'm not used to eating a full breakfast so early, but if it's part of the plan, then who am I to argue? Tonight brought training of the arms and I realize just how out of shape I am. But I can do hard things. So can YOU! What's one hard thing you're doing right now, or want to add to your list?

Change is Hard
After 2.5 weeks into this journey I'm deeming my mid-life health kick, I decided I might as well go big. Sometimes I try to avoid it, but it's who I tend to be. I've decided to take on a more intentional transformation, because I am driven by tangible results that are measurable. I have been taking pictures of my meals and witnessing the calories, fats, proteins, etc. that I have been consuming. It's eye-opening, really. It's amazing what you discover when you're looking. My intention journey begins Monday. It's an 8-week program and my goal is to stick with it no matter how hard it is. It's going to be UGLY. I'm going to be a HOT MESS (aren't most of us, anyway?), but I'm documenting it anyway. Too many times we watch others who seem to have it together. We only see what others allow us to see, and many times (in life, business, relationships and fitness), it's the final, polished result. I love seeing people's beginnings. That's where I'm starting. And if you're still here, and you're a hot mess looking to get control of your over-40 self, jump in. Tell me your goals! Let's do this together.

My Over-the-Age-of-40 Goal
One thing I've noticed as a middle-level teacher, is that my job never feels like it's done. There's always work to grade, and new items to focus on for the success of my students. Sometimes when I get wrapped up in chaos of work, I forget to balance it with the 'chaos' at home. Recently I feel like that imbalance has caught up with me so I have decided to make a change. I am not an expert, I am not a nutritionist, I am not a doctor, or a fitness coach. But what I AM is someone who likes to do her research and understand the interests in which I do not know. Being a woman over 40 has come with it many changes they never tell you about. I have recently decided to set a new goal and go on a personal health journey. This will include healthier eating (but not obsessive), a little bit of fitness (but not intense workouts only the pros can keep up with) and a lot of support, motivation and cheering in YOUR corner if you decide to join my journey. What are YOUR over-40 goals?

Every Day Edits
I love when an Every Day Edit lines up with what I'm teaching. Students had fun with their most recent one on Nancy Drew. They get excited to see how many they can get individually in 3 minutes and we celebrate when the class works as a team to find all 10. Have you tried Every Day Edits? If not, give them a try. There are a ton to choose from, they're quick and easy, and it help students sharpen editing skills in a. fun way. https://www.educationworld.com/a_lesson/archives/edit.shtml
