The hem of His garment
Mark 5:25-34 describes how the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus' garment and was healed. A few things that stand out for me: 🌿She had faith in the power of one touch of Jesus, a small, almost "insignificant" touch to most, but amidst the crowd (many people bumping and touching Jesus), He felt the power of her small act of faith and healed her. 🌿He called her daughter when society labeled her unclean 🌿Jesus doesn't always expect big, fancy displays of faith - He sees your small acts of faith every day. He sees your desperation, your silent call, your tears. He hears your small prayers as much as your big ones because He sees your heart. 🌿When she touched Him, the bible says He immediately knew that power had gone out of him and turned to the crowd, asking who touched him. There is a powerful connection between Jesus and us, and He feels everything we feel. 🌿That gives me goosebumps, because it means He also feels our sadness, worry, heartbreak as much as He feels our faith. Never underestimate the small acts of just reaching for the hem of His garment and saying, "I trust, I believe"

The hem of His garment
My success must glorify God
Psalm 30:11-12: "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever" David was saying here that all his success and glory will point back to God. Nothing we achieve is in our own strength, and we should never lose sight of that. But notice that there were times of mourning for David; he did not have a perfect life. He had his share of hardships and trials, but he always spoke to God; he shared his burdens with God and gave Him the glory for the victories or hurdles he overcame. If you read through the psalms, you can clearly see the ups and downs of David's emotions and thoughts - it shows us that we are human and that it is ok to go through these times. The difference is to not camp in those places of doubt, fear, sadness - lift your head and glorify God, He is the lifter of our heads, our provider, our comforter, and He will turn mourning into dancing! And when He does, give Him the glory because we can do nothing in our own strength. Don't cry out to Him in the hard times and go silent in the good times.

Faith works by Love
This was the key verse and message by our pastor yesterday. I had to share it because it was so powerful. 2 Thessalonians 1:3 Paul writes to the church "your faith grows exceedingly and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure" Their faith grew exceedingly They had love for one another While facing persecutions and tribulations We all have a measure of faith given to us, but your faith grows through resistance and trials and by love. Just like a muscle that is put through training in the gym, resistance and weight causes the muscles to grow and become big and strong - the same with your faith, if you don't exercise it, it won't grow. How do we exercise our faith - by walking in love for one another, for moving beyond ourselves to others. Love fuels faith When people bump into you, they should bump into Jesus. After the resurrection Jesus showed his scars. We are healed and we were saved by His scars. Don't hide your scars, show them, because it might be just the thing that someone can relate to and you can bring them closer to Jesus.

Inheritance
Psalm 28:9 " The Lord is their strength, and He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance; Shepherd then also, and bear them up forever" It is so powerful to change your thoughts to know you are an anointed inheritance! If you think about it, when you have something of value that you are going to leave behind for your family one day, you are going to treasure and care for it. A lot of people have a "display" cabinet where they place their sentimental items passed down from previous generations. Things like great-grandfather's watch, great-grandmother's tea set, or a mother's wedding dress for her daughter...we all have something we look after and keep safe so it can go to the next generation. We are God's anointed inheritance 💛- imagine the love, care, and protection He is willing to pour out on us! He already gave His only Son to die on the cross for us! He wants to see us succeed; He wants to bless us; He wants to see us walk in freedom; He wants to see us run our race, honoring Him. He cannot wait to say to each of us, "Well done, good and faithful servant" Run your race but never forget who you are and what you are to Him. Make sure you run your race aligned to who you are in Him

YOUR WILL BE DONE
Psalm 27:14 "Wait on the Lord. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait I say on the Lord" ❓How often do we actually wait on Him? How often do we try to handle problems or make decisions on our own without asking God for guidance? With the fast-paced lives we live, I think many of us do not take time out to ask God what HE wants us to do, we forget as we get caught up in our day. 📖Luke 11: 2 says, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" 📍A small group of my friends found this challenge on Instagram, and we are all doing it! Hope you will try it with us. If you don't have Instagram, here is a summary👇🏻 🔥Set an alarm on your phone for every single day at 11:02 (Luke 11:2). And when that alarm goes off, use that minute to realign your day with God's will by remembering and saying, "Your will be done." You will have a daily reminder to seek God's will in a decision you need to make or a struggle you are facing. 🌍Join the challenge with us! 👇🏻 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaGqNDwSwnb/?igsh=MTQ0ZjljZDA5bW1oeA==
