MONDAY CHALLENGE
Ultra completed!
Well my first ultra is in the books. Dallas was a good venue except for the long ass walk to get back to the car! First loop was actually decent. I hit all obstacles. Second loop was a different story. My biggest thing was feet and knees hurting. Walked way more on second loop and missed some obstacles. Time was 10 hours 11 min. Little slower than I wanted but it was done. Miles 25-28 were the toughest! Now time for sushi and recovery Also, 710/450 minutes complete
Movement time
I did my short run/walk followed by my one movement and I chose the rowing machine at the gym. One my long run/walk day I ended up doing the run portion of the Marine PFT on the treadmill. I think I did decent for time on that test. 8 minutes of my time is the warm and cool down they have built into the workout on the machine. I did another 90 minutes today with my buddy and wife at the gym for the my strength training day. So into total I ended up with 254 minutes. So I crushed my goal of basic and was only 46 minutes off the Standard.

Week 3 Endurance Track- Ragnar week!
This Friday and Saturday is Ragnar Suncoast so I’m switching to the Endurance track and then I’ll go back to Performance or start over (whatever Frank and Zack say so I’m not disqualified). 😎 Just one of my legs will hit the 75 min benchmark. Looking forward to some fun in the sun with my team!! I will challenge myself with the pace and be ready to pick up any necessary extra legs for the team.
Week 2 completed
Well this week was something different. I tried to do the best I can. I did movement all week and it ended up totalling 174 minutes. I was having an issue with my watch so I’m grateful I had documented some minutes. I also tried to stay positive. Hard a hard day Wednesday him he drew out some anger but made up for it on Thursday at the gym. This week coming up is not going to be the easiest as I have a procedure that may have me taking it easy for a few days BUT I will succeed. I’m getting to the gym more and focusing on my health. At least I’m not sitting on the couch right 🤷🏻‍♀️. Here’s to week 3!
