The Pain of Inaction Hurts More Than Failure Ever Will
There are two kinds of regret we carry: 1. Regret of Action: Wishing you hadn’t done something (sins of commission). 2. Regret of Inaction: Wishing you had done something (sins of omission). For the 1357 Club I am reading ā€œIn a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day,ā€ by Mark Batterson and in it he drives home a truth we all need to hear: The greatest regrets aren’t the mistakes we made…but the Opportunities we never took. You weren’t created to play it safe. You weren’t built to sit on the sidelines. You were called to chase lions...bold, scary, impossible-looking opportunities. Goodness isn’t just about avoiding sin. It’s about courageously stepping into your calling. That means: - Running toward your dreams, not just away from danger. - Trading comfort for calling. - Refusing to let fear have the final say. How You Can Apply This Today: āœ… Stop Watching From the Sidelines. You weren’t meant to watch others win...you were made to run your own race. āœ… Face Your Lions. Fear is real, but so is your God-given potential. Don’t wait for perfect conditions...they rarely come. āœ… Shift Your Focus. Don’t fear failure. Fear missing your moment. That’s what will keep you up at night. How I’m Living This Out: Every part of building my business has forced me to confront fears. Launching new offers, reaching out to people I admire, putting my voice out there...it’s scary. But every time I say YES to action, I grow stronger. Every lion I chase… I learn something! Even when I fall short, I know I chose courage over comfort. That’s what the Challenger CODE is all about: Living with purpose, choosing challenge, and grabbing life by the mane! Your Turn: What lion are you avoiding right now? What’s ONE step you can take today to move toward it? Remember... You weren’t made to avoid regret. You were made to live fully. Don’t let your lion walk away. Challenge Accepted. Here are a few more of my post ā¬ What If Your Strategy Isn’t the Problem?
